Doing your 'bit' to save the planet.
'Warm Front' Heating grants are a 'green' initiative set up by the government in an attempt to reduce the country's 'carbon footprint'.
Modern gas boilers can attain close to 90% efficiency, in comparison to the 40% or thereabouts, of old fashioned heating systems.
You will save hundreds of pounds annually in heating bills if you convert from an old boiler to a new efficient version and in addition, you may be eligible for a grant towards the cost of your new heating system. Read the criteria below for more information and use the patches on the right to make an enquiry.
Do you qualify for a heating grant?
If you own your own home or rent it from a private landlord, you may be eligible for a grant of up to £3,500 (or £6,000 if oil central heating is involved) under the Warm Front Scheme. If the property has previously received Warm Front improvements, the grant available will be the balance of £2,700 (or £4,000 if oil central heating is involved) less the value of all works previously completed.
